How does the 7-day free trial work?
Scout, Pilot and Fleet all start with a 7-day free trial — no credit card required. You get the entire platform at your plan's full capture quota, on your own site data. Airspace is sales-led and does not have a self-serve trial.
Is the free trial the same thing as the free photo credits?
No — you get both, and they stack. Every new account is credited 150 free photo credits (enough for one map of up to 150 photos) which never expire, plus a 7-day trial of the full platform. Trial work runs against your plan's quota, so the credits are still sitting there when the 7 days are up.
What's included in the trial?
Everything, at your plan's full quota: the complete 2D mapping workflow, measurements, volumetrics and exports, plus the interactive 3D portal, 3D model and point-cloud viewing, 3D file downloads, map annotations, and client share links. The trial was limited to 2D outputs until July 2026 — it no longer is, so you evaluate exactly what you'd be buying.
What happens after the 7 days?
The app prompts you to enter payment info to keep working. Your existing projects stay viewable and new processing pauses until you pick a plan — or spend photo credits, which keep working as pay-per-map. There's no charge of any kind until you add payment details: we don't have your card.
How long do you keep my projects?
On Scout, completed projects are kept for at least 90 days from project completion. On Pilot and Fleet they're kept for as long as your subscription is active, and for 90 days after it ends. If you only ever used the free trial and never subscribed, your projects are kept for 90 days after the trial ends. We email you 14 days and 3 days before anything is removed, so nothing disappears without notice — and your deliverables stay downloadable right up to the removal date. Separately, the original upload .zip is cleared after about 30 days; that doesn't affect your finished map or any of its exports. Keeping your own copy of anything you rely on is always wise.
Are exports or storage metered?
No. There's no per-export charge, no download cap and no storage tier to outgrow — you're billed by capture. Retention (above) is the one lifecycle limit, and it's stated per plan rather than hidden behind the word “unlimited”.
Do higher tiers unlock more software features?
Almost none. White-label client pages and reports are the one capability that needs Pilot or above. Everything else — cut/fill to a design surface, plan-vs-built overlays, volumetrics, the progress timeline and the AI tools — is on every paid plan, including Scout. Tiers otherwise differ by capture volume, seats, retention and support.
Do I need a subscription for a one-off site?
No. Scout is pay-for-what-you-map: buy a credit pack from $49 per 250 photos (up to $399 per 3,200 photos), upload raw drone photos, and we build the map. Credits never expire and there's no subscription.
Can I save money with annual billing?
Yes — annual billing is two months free, about 17% off. Pilot is $2,790 billed annually (effective $232.50/month) and Fleet is $4,490 billed annually (effective $374.17/month). Contact sales to switch your plan to annual.
