Navigating the map and 3D viewer

Where the tools live, how the map and 3D tabs differ, and how to switch base layers.

Every project opens in a browser viewer — nothing to install. It has two views: the Map (2D, for measuring and annotating) and the 3D model (the textured mesh you can orbit).

A photo-textured 3D site reconstruction seen obliquely from the air, with a house under construction, a cul-de-sac, graded pads and a retention pond
The 3D view: orbit, pan and zoom a real textured mesh in the browser.

The Map view

  • Toggle layers on the right: orthomosaic, satellite basemap, Surface (DSM), Terrain (DEM), and contours.
  • The toolbar runs across the top — pins, notes, distance, area, elevation, profile, volume, and more.
  • Pick a tool, click on the map to place it, and click any marker again to edit or remove it.

The 3D view

The 3D model streams in progressively as you zoom, so it stays smooth on a normal laptop. Use it to inspect structures, stockpiles, and site conditions from any angle.

Full screen

Use Open full screen for presentations or detailed work — the same viewer, the whole window. Everything you measure or annotate is saved to the project automatically.
