My map is in the wrong place on the basemap

What's happening

The site renders in the wrong location, or processing reports that it cannot determine a coordinate system. The export either did not carry a coordinate reference system or carried one that was mis-detected.

What to check

1. Ask your mapping software which coordinate system the project was in. You want an EPSG code — for example EPSG:32617.
2. Check whether the model is merely offset from the basemap rather than in the wrong place entirely. A small, consistent shift is often the basemap being wrong, not your data.

How to fix it

1. Open the project, choose Reprocess & fix, enter the EPSG code under Coordinate system, and start reprocessing.
2. No re-upload is needed — the imagery is already here.

Avoiding it next time

Export with the coordinate system embedded, which is the default in most tools. Then leave the coordinate system field blank at upload so auto-detection can do its job, and override it only when you know it is wrong.
