Troubleshooting
I only got a 3D model — no map, DSM, DEM or contours
The export was missing its 2D task. Everything flat is built from rasters that were never uploaded.
What's happening
Processing finished, but the orthomosaic, surface model, terrain model and contours are all missing. There may also be a quality-check FAIL, and elevations may be ellipsoidal even though a datum conversion was requested. The export contains a models/ folder but no map/ folder — the 2D reconstruction task was not enabled when the export was produced. All four of those products are built from the georeferenced rasters in map/. With no raster there is no source to build them from, and no georeferenced surface to locate the site, which is also why the datum conversion could not run.
What to check
- Open the export folder or zip and look for a
map/folder containing.tiffiles. - If it is absent or empty, that is the whole answer.
- On the New project page, the deliverables panel reads your zip before you upload and shows those four rows unmarked when this is the case.
How to fix it
- This is not fixable in DroneFlow, and reprocessing will not help — the data was never uploaded.
- Go back to your mapping software and re-export with the 2D map / reconstruction task switched on alongside the 3D task.
- Export the point cloud as LAS rather than PLY while you are there — PLY carries no coordinate information.
- Zip the whole export folder and create a new project.
Avoiding it next time
Before zipping, confirm the export folder contains both map/ (with .tif files) and models/. Then trust the deliverables panel on the upload page: it reads the zip before you spend the bandwidth.
If map/ is present with .tif files and the 2D products are still missing, contact us — that is not this problem.
